PART ONE includes NEW recordings by small ensembles associated with the orchestra, including Shadyside Brass, Aeolian Winds, Unity Brass, Desperate Measures, ESO Cello Ensemble, and Barclay String Quartet. Featured music by Bach and Hickie, as well as holiday favorites like Santa Baby, The Christmas Song, Jingle Bells, a holiday medley, and of course Sleigh Ride!
PART TWO revisits highlights from our 2019 Holiday Concert at First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood, where we gave the World Premiere of the Orchestral Version of Eli Tamar’s Canticum Fratris Solis, with soloists Charlene Canty and Molly May. Ms. Canty is also featured in Adolphe Adam’s O Holy Night arranged by Walter Morales. And the concert ends with a different take on the Nutcracker Suite – three movements from the jazz version by Duke Ellington & Billy Strayhorn.
This concert is free and open to the public, but donations can be made on our giving webpage. The suggested donation is $10. Proceeds will help to make future performances possible.
