Dvorak’s Seventh

March 9, 2019 7:30pm

This program pairs Beethoven’s magnificent Violin Concerto with Dvorak’s dramatic Seventh Symphony.  Dvorak’s greatest symphony marks a milestone in the composer’s life while Beethoven’s Violin Concerto is considered the summit of a violinist’s concerto repertoire.  We open this concert with the evocative In the Steppes in Central Asia by Borodin.
